In 1997, Qualcomm made a contribution to the city of San Diego to complete the expansion of the stadium in exchange for naming rights until 2017. Qualcomm's involvement ensured the completion of the necessary stadium upgrades making Qualcomm Stadium a premier sports and event facility, and ensuring San Diego's status as a major league city.
Qualcomm Stadium has been host to many internationally watched events, such as two Super Bowls, two World Series, Major League Soccer and Baseball All Star Games, the Holiday Bowl, and major concert events including the Rolling Stones, Elton John and Billy Joel. The history, prestige, honor and commitment of our city is captured at Qualcomm Stadium.
Qualcomm Stadium is owned and operated by the City of San Diego. For more information on Qualcomm Stadium, please visit the Official City of San Diego Qualcomm Stadium Web Site www.sandiego.gov/qualcomm
